“Mitigating the spread of parasitic Mistletoe in the forests of Makkah, Asir, and Al-Baha regions

Sustainable Environment

The project to mitigate the spread of parasitic Mistletoe on wild trees includes a series of integrated operations across 600 hectares in the target regions (Makkah, Asir, and Al-Baha). It aims to protect vegetation cover, improve tree health, and enhance the sustainability of local ecosystems. These activities vary between field surveys of target sites, implementing control and pruning measures, and conducting several awareness workshops and programs

This project contributes to supporting vegetation development efforts and reducing degradation factors, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to preserve ecosystems and achieve long-term environmental sustainability
